Registration Information for Returning Students

New Student Placement & Registration 2010/11

August 21, 2010 - Fall 2010 Placement Classes for students, age 8 and older with previous dance experience who are new to Ballet Austin.

Ages 8-12 - 2:00-3:30pm & Ages 13 and older - 3:30-5:00pm.

Ages 3-7:Pre-Ballet student

  • Children ages 3-7 should be enrolled based upon their age as of September 1, 2010.
  • Creative Movement classes are for children ages 3-5.  CLICK HERE for a schedule of Creative Movement Class Options.
  • Pre-Ballet classes are for children ages 5-7. CLICK HERE for a schedule of Pre-Ballet Class Options.

Ages 8-10 (No previous dance experience):

  • Students age 8 to 10, with no previous dance experience, are placed in Level 1 of the Lower School. CLICK HERE for a schedule of Level 1 Class Options.

Ages 11-12 (No previous dance experience):

  • Students age 11 to 12, with no previous dance experience, are recommended to attend Beginning Ballet on Ballet Austin’s Butler Community School (BCS) Kid’s Zone schedule. CLICK HERE for the BCS Kid’s Zone summer schedule of classes.

Ages 13 and older (No previous dance experience):

  • Students ages 13 and up, with no previous dance experience, are recommended to Ballet Austin’s Butler Community School (BCS) for dance classes. CLICK HERE for a summer schedule of BCS Teen/Adult dance and fitness classes.

Ages 8 and older (With previous dance experience):Level 4 student

  • Students age 8 and older, with previous dance experience, who are new to Ballet Austin, will be required to attend a placement class to determine their level for the fall.
  • Early placement classes for fall 2010 will be held on Saturday, June 5. Class for students age 8-12 will be from 2:00-3:30pm. The Placement class for students age 13 and older will be held from 3:30-5:00pm. Please arrive one half hour early for check-in.
  • Regular Placement classes for fall 2010 will be held on Saturday, August 21. Class for students age 8-12 will be from 2:00-3:30pm. The Placement class for students age 13 and older will be held from 3:30-5:00pm. Please arrive one half hour early for check-in.
  • CLICK HERE to download a Placement Class Registration Form. Fill out this form and bring with you to the appropriate placement class listed above and wait to complete the registration process until after level placement is determined.

Ages 11 and older (With no previous dance experience)

  • CLICK HERE to download a BCS Summer Class-Card Order Form.

Continue with the following steps to register if:

  • Your student is age 3-7 or

  • Your student is age 8-10 with no previous dance experience

COMPLETE A NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM*

  • CLICK HERE TO download a New Student Registration Form.

  • Complete the New Student Registration Form. If more than one class offering is available to you, please indicate your first and second choice. Your child will be enrolled into your second choice if the first choice is full. Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.  (If only one choice works for your schedule, please do not choose a second class option)

*Students attending a placement class to determine placement for the fall must wait until after the placement class to register. Once they receive a recommended level for the fall, a student may proceed with registration.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Some classes fill quickly so registering early is recommended. Class availability cannot be confirmed until registration and payment are processed.

  • PAYMENT OPTIONS FORM
    • Ballet Austin offers several options to make paying tuition convenient and easy.
    • Please refer to Policies and Procedures information before making your tuition payment selection.
    • Please note your tuition payment option, fill in pertinent information, and sign the Payment Options Form before returning.
    • If you select an automatic payment plan please sign the Authorization Form for the auto payment plan you select.
  • LIABILITY WAIVER/PHOTO LIKENESS RELEASE FORM
    • A new form must be completed and on file for the 2010/11 school year.
    • In order for your child to begin classes in September, the Liability Waiver must be signed.

RETURN ALL REGISTRATION FORMS TO BALLET AUSTIN

  • Please return forms with one of the following:
    • Tuition in Full (Pay in Full Discount available through August 26, 2010) See Payment Options Form.
    • The non-refundable, first installment. If you choose the interest-free installment plan, we encourage you to choose either the direct payment or monthly automatic credit/debit card payment option so that you will avoid any late fees that might occur.  You cannot carry over financial records from a previous year so please sign and return the Payment Options Form if you are choosing any of our automatic payment plans for 2010/11.

Additional Registration Information:

  • The Schools’ office, located in the Butler Dance Education Center, 501 West 3rd Street, will be open from 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, throughout the summer. There is also a Schools Receptionist at the Patron Services desk in the front lobby Monday through Thursday until 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays between 9:00am and 3:00pm. We are able to receive registration forms and payments in person, by mail, by fax or by phone during the above hours.  To register by fax or phone, make your payment with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. 

Please note: If you register by phone you will need to return the Payment Options Form and the Liability Waiver before the start of the school year.

  • Confirmation of your registration and payment will be mailed in July.  You will be notified by phone only if both your first and second choice of class is full. Outstanding balances from the 2009/10 school year must be reconciled before registration will be accepted for the 2010/11 school year.  There will be no exceptions.

  • If you are interested in enrolling a sibling who has not received a Registration Packet, you may print a registration form from the registration page of our web-site or call and request class information at 512.476.9051, ext. 138 or 102.

  • Please refer to the Policies and Procedures page on the website for more details regarding all policies and procedures related to registration, enrollment, class attendance, tuition payments, and withdrawal.  It is recommended that you read through the Policies and Procedures information thoroughly before registering.
