Course Offerings -These classes are organized into sessions with a set number of participants and a guaranteed place in class. Register today in the Schools Office (512.476.9051, ext. 126).
BEGINNING HULA
If you've never taken hula before, this is the class for you! The hula classes include dances in the ancient form of hula (hula kahiko) as well as the more contemporary form of hula (hula 'auana). Hawaiian history and culture are also discussed as they relate to each hula learned in class. All classes are conducted in a positive and respectful atmosphere that allows for individual variance in learning and mastery. Expect to be challenged and to get a great workout in every class. Hula is for fun, for fitness, and for life!

Revamp Boot Camp is an intense early morning workout that will give you the deep burn you’ve been craving. In this fast-paced interval training class you will be pushed to your limit. Find new ways to get a hardcore workout. The one-hour, twice-a-week class offers the ultimate fitness challenge! A fun and interactive environment sets the tone for this great indoor/outdoor boot camp. In the heart of downtown Austin, just steps away from Lady Bird Lake Trail, Revamp Boot Camp is housed in Ballet Austin's state-of-the-art Butler Dance Education Center.

For the lower impact fitness enthusiast
Cross Training Boot Camp is a core strength and conditioning program that delivers results. The one-hour, once-a-week workout will challenge your body in a variety of ways. The class will focus on toning, flexibility, endurance, stamina, strength, coordination, agility, balance, and power. Cross training is a great way to condition different muscle groups, develop a new set of skills, and vary the stress placed on specific muscles or your cardiovascular system. This Boot Camp is for everyone, regardless of experience and fitness level. Make it part of YOUR fitness training!

WHAT IS A PILATES MAT CLASS?
Pilates is a refreshing mind-body workout, which focuses on core stability and posture, aiming to lengthen and strengthen muscles. The exercises are performed in a very slow and controlled manner with similarities to yoga as the class incorporates relaxation and breathing techniques. Pilates increases flexibility, agility, builds strength and is a safe yet challenging workout.

MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
BROADWAY IN MAY // THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF BROADWAY
In the world of choreography, there are three Broadway legends that stand out as some of the brightest lights of all time; Jerome Robbins, Bob Fosse and Michael Bennett. Over the past thirty years, Directors Danny Herman and Rocker Verastique have worked with every major choreographer to work on Broadway including these three illustrious masters. This year’s BROADWAY IN MAY will celebrate the groundbreaking work of Robbins, Fosse and Bennett and will feature selections from WEST SIDE STORY, THE KING AND I, GYPSY, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, PETER PAN, ON THE TOWN, HIGH BUTTON SHOES, CHICAGO, SWEET CHARITY, PIPPIN, THE PAJAMA GAME, LITTLE ME, A CHORUS LINE, DREAMGIRLS, FOLLIES, COMPANY, and SEESAW.

The Musical Theatre Performance Workshop will offer…
- The chance to learn classic choreography from master instructors who have worked with the original choreographers
- Classes divided into two age groups; ages 8-13 and 14-Adult
- Live musical accompaniment for classes, rehearsals and performances
- All classes/rehearsals held at Ballet Austin's Butler Dance Education Center
- PERFORM! All performances produced in the state-of-the-art AustinVentures StudioTheater with full stage lights and sound

(No classes held on March 20 & April 10, 2009)
*Technical Rehearsals will be held on April 29 at 6:30 pm and May 2 at 10:00 am
**Additional rehearsals may be called as needed
