Decking going in! Beam us up!

A large amount of decking for the second floor of the Butler Dance Education Center is being installed right now. When you walk through the steel work that is in, you get a feel for the rooms and how they all relate to each other.

Here we see the large roof beam that was just installed today over the area behind the AustinVentures StudioTheatre. As I understand it, this will be the costume shop and dying room.

Here we see workmen preparing the roof of the AustinVentures StudioTheatre for the concrete pour which will happen next week. This is looking north towards from the costume shop.

This is a shot of the Armstrong / Connelly Studio.

See these boards? Underneath them lies a major triumph. After digging through 30 inches of concrete, the crews were finally able to lay the main sewer line. (Sewer lines are always good.)

And as long as we’re in the hood, here’s the 360 Bldg to the northwest of the west end of our building . They are making some serious progress as well.
