Big beams going in at the Butler Dance Education Center.

This week is huge. The BDEC is taking shape.

A crane has been brought in and the roof beams that go over the AustinVentures StudioTheatre are being installed.

I tried to take some shots that show what’s happening—you can see the size of the crane and the beams that are going in now. When I got down there at 11:00 this morning, they were lifting the cross beams into place.

This is especially exciting because now, with these beams in place, we will get some idea about the final shape of the BDEC.
