The march towards completion continues and everyone on the jobsite is going at full tilt.

Here you see the masses of sheetrock being readied for installation in the AustinVentures StudioTheatre.

The steel work protruding from the north face of the BDEC and the big unit you see on the ground are part of the assembly that will soon be the facing of the entryway for the Ballet Austin Academy students.

In this shot, you see a workman on the cherry picker making a precision cut of the existing stonework to ready it for installation of the steel.

These units will soon be part of the air conditioning system that will connect with the chilled water station in the state garage across the street.

Here is a historic moment—as they say in the construction world, “They stuck the tree on it!” The Amli Building across the street from us is topped out!

And “an army moves on its stomach”! Steve Frinz is showing his crews that he has culinary talents as well. Albacore, mahi-mahi, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, pompano, the man has it all going on in one of the biggest smokers I ever saw – even a huge pot of beans with jalapeños. Too bad I didn’t show up closer to lunchtime! |
