Butler Dance Education Center Blog

April 7, 2007

Our future’s so bright...

Every week we get a better feel for how the Butler Dance Education Center is going to look.

The glass is almost all in on the front of the Armstrong/Connelly Studio as is the decorative facing outside it. The light bars are installed in the AustinVentures StudioTheatre and the walls are being smoothed out. Here and there, you see coats of paint on certain rooms. And the electric installation is proceeding rapidly. It’s an exciting time to be part of Ballet Austin.

Here are two shots of the BDEC’s north side. Now that most of the glass is installed and the facing is up, you get a feel for the final look. Just imagine driving or walking by and seeing the apprentice company rehearsing in the Armstrong/Connelly Studio.

The AustinVentures StudioTheatre took some steps toward completion with the installation of light bars and finishing of the wall surfaces.

This view of the AdlerLand Studio shows the sets of viewing windows that will be available for both adults and children to use.

The Ballet Austin/Community Board Room is getting closer to completion and a color treatment is seen here on the back wall.

Remember that shot we showed two weeks ago of the empty server room? Here you see the same room with the wiring being installed for Ballet Austin’s technology heartbeat.

The Amli Building is shaping up, too.

As are the 360 Condominiums. Looking good in the neighborhood! And don’t forget that these fine buildings will be full of affluent people who want the high energy urban lifestyle and tend to like the arts.
