You can see from the photos I took, little remains of the former west side of the building.
Grade beams are being installed around the loading dock. Structural fill for that area is being added.
Crews are still excavating for the plumbing —a long 6” wide waste line is going to be installed, replacing the 4” line.
All of the work this week was inside the building on the west side. Some removal of concrete inside still needs to be done to accommodate the waste line.
Also, our neighbor to the northwest, the 360 Building, (see photo) is going up at a rapid rate—the second floor’s concrete and steel looks to be in place.
As I pointed out previously, 3rd Street is down to one lane both ways—so don’t go wheeling around the corners too fast! There is a safety walk by the BDEC and on the north side, heavy excavation is going on by the parking garage.
