The initial round of plumbing is almost installed and the construction staff is waiting for permits to proceed. They hope to start pour back next week. The shot I’ve included shows the progress looking east from Nueces.

A shot of the sign on the front of the Schneider Building at 2nd and Guadalupe, about a block and a half from the BDEC. This is where noted chef Lou Lambert will soon be opening his new restaurant, Lambert's Downtown Barbecue and Chop House. According to this notice, there will be music upstairs!
