Build-a-Ballet |
Peter and the Wolf
Build-a-Ballet is an interactive performance of Ballet Austin Artistic Director Stephen Mills’ Peter and the Wolf. Dancers from our Professional Division Trainee program perform the piece to the original music by Sergei Prokofiev.
Elementary-aged children and adults that accompany them learn about how to develop character through choreography, and help a character from the ballet choreograph a short piece of dance that is incorporated into the ballet. This 50-minute program is presented at Ballet Austin or in schools.
