Experience a one-hour production called The Monologue Project, a collaboration between Ballet Austin II and the Pollyanna Theatre Company. The show will be based on the work of approximately 150 Austin-area middle and high school students. Arts Blitz
This
multi-arts collaboration between Ballet Austin, Pollyanna Theatre Company and
the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum provides free arts workshops for teachers
and students, and interactive performances to school campuses. The objective of
the Arts Blitz program is to provide elementary and middle school students with
an experiential and engaging arts experience. It is our goal that each Arts
Blitz project also enhances the academic process by helping students make
cross-curricular connections to the world outside of school.

Blitz Performances
As part
of the Arts Blitz program, Ballet Austin and Pollyanna Theatre
Company produce dance dramas that are performed for students in
schools and at Ballet Austin’s AustinVentures StudioTheater.

Blitz Workshops for Students
In
addition to the performances and teacher resource guide, the
Arts Blitz program also includes a multi-arts workshop series.
Conducted on-site at school campuses, the workshops include 50-
to 90-minute sessions in sculpture, movement and creative drama.
The workshops build upon the key elements of the current Arts
Blitz production and are linked by the over-arching curricular
themes.

Blitz Professional Development Workshop for Teachers
Professional Development Workshops are available for all
teachers participating in the Arts Blitz program. The workshops
include an overview of the Arts Blitz production as well as
suggested classroom activities to enhance student experience and
reinforce grade-specific TEKS requirements. The Workshop is
offered free of charge to teachers.
ArtSmart
Ballet Austin's ArtSmart program provides education and enrichment to
students and teachers in Central Texas. By participating in one of our
educational programs (Footlights, Encore, Studio Spotlight, Docent Program)
students and teachers earn a 30% discount on select tickets to Ballet Austin’s
