Ballet Austin’s Speakers Bureau offers organizations the opportunity to discover the various facets of Austin's largest arts organization. Learn about the artistic process, the business of dance, and the educational workings of Ballet Austin as the largest classical ballet academy and school in the nation.

Stephen Mills
Artistic Director Stephen Mills discusses his role as creator and curator of Ballet Austin's productions and seasons, as well as the artistic process that occurs between dancer and choreographer to create new works.

Cookie Ruiz, C.F.R.E.
Executive Director Cookie Ruiz gives an overview of Ballet Austin and its history since 1956, and discusses how we recruit and contract with our artists, composers, designers, choreographers, and how Ballet Austin fits into the national and international dance scenes.
Bill Sheffield
Production Director Bill Sheffield discusses the rigorous process of bringing a ballet to the stage from the initial conception of a work through the striking of the set. He also shares fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about the productions.
Pei-San Brown
Community Education Director Pei-San Brown discusses the training and life of a professional dancer, and the work that Ballet Austin does in the community, including teacher professional development, educational performances, and free community programming.
Vicki Parsons
Butler Community School Director Vicki Parsons discusses Ballet Austin's Butler Community School, with dance and fitness classes for all age ages and skill levels. Presentations are available on the topic of active life, fitness and nutrition, raising helthy children, and healthy aging.
