Take Flight - Fête ‘09 at The Austonian
By Christi Cuellar, Development Director
Now nearly two-thirds sold out, Take Flight - Fête’09 at The Austonian is promising to be the most memorable Fête yet. The buzz around town is contagious and, with less than two months until the event, we couldn’t be more excited. Our gracious host, The Austonian, is now officially the tallest building in Austin, and they have gone above and beyond to help our yearly fundraiser truly take flight on Saturday, September 12!
Chair, Becky Beaver, and her committee are in the process of creating an event unmatched by any that have gone before it. Those interested in the Fête experience should know that, while planning an event worthy of being called “Austin’s Best Black Tie” in the spirit it has always been, tables this year will seat 10 instead of 8, thus allowing for a $250 per couple price break compared to last year. Making this possible are wonderful underwriters such as The Four Seasons Austin, Twin Liquors, and BMW of Austin. (Other underwriting opportunities are still available.)
The introduction of Fête*ish, Act II to the Fête ’09 evening, will round out the night with some fantastic entertainment, a surprise around every corner, and more than a wink to its playful name.
Fête ’09 at The Austonian is Ballet Austin’s only fundraising event of the year, and all proceeds support Ballet Austin’s mission of providing exceptional artistic programming, arts education, and access for the entire Central Texas community.
Tables and tickets are still available, but are anticipated to sell-out by mid-August. For tickets to and information on Fête ’09 and Fête*ish ’09 at The Austonian, click here.
