Austin's Holiday Tradition
We asked longtime attendees of The Nutcracker to share their own traditions with us. These are the stories they shared:
The Nutcracker IS a tradition in my family. I took my daughter when she was a child, and now my grand-daughter joins me every year, too. Attending The Nutcracker is a special treat for us all. It is bound to be even more wonderful at the Long Center. We can hardly wait.
Christmas would not be the same without our annual night out to see Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker! Our family along with our very best friends, The Jacksons, have made an annual holiday tradition of getting a little dressed up, having dinner at Romeo’s and seeing this wonderful Christmas story together. For the last 6 years, we have been successful (with the help of a wonderful box office staff!) in getting front row seats. This allows us to not only enjoy the ballet up close but also to marvel at the full orchestra in the pit below which is just as enjoyable! We are especially excited this year to be seeing Ballet Austin’s The Nutrcracker at the brand new Long Center for the Performing Arts! What a treat!
